About Me

My name is Samantha Holechek. Originally from Kansas City (go Chiefs!), I grew up and am currently living in Lincoln Nebraska. My love for horses started at a young age and while I took a short break during high school to pursue competitive swimming, I never lost the desire to work with these amazing animals.

When I was 24 years old, I took a chance and moved to the middle of nowhere Indiana to work for a Grand Prix show jumping trainer. During those two years, I learned more than I could ever have imagined, traveled to some of the most amazing horse venues, and had the experience of a lifetime. Now that I’m back home, I’m learning how to balance a “real job” and being a rider/trainer. I have a love for thoroughbred horses, specifically off the track thoroughbreds, and a desire to help these amazing athletes find new homes after racing.

I have officially been accepted as a trainer for the 2019 TB Makeover by The Retired Racehorse Project. I am so excited to compete and showcase the awesome thoroughbred breed! Look for us at the TB Makeover at the Kentucky Horse Park in October 2019!

Here you’ll find my experiences, stories, opinions, and anything else I feel like sharing. Hope you enjoy!
